Help & Guides
Your guide to understanding and using the Alkimi platform.
Account
The Account section is your personal command center within Alkimi. It’s designed to give you complete control over your individual experience, from how you access the platform to how it looks and feels. Whether you need to update your security credentials, manage your membership across multiple organizations, or fine-tune the interface for better accessibility, this is where you tailor the platform to fit your needs.
Profile
Your Profile page acts as your digital identity card. Here, you can manage your essential personal information and security credentials.
Personal Information
This section displays your primary account details. You can update your First Name and Last Name to ensure your team members can easily identify you. Your Email Address serves as your unique user ID across the platform and cannot be changed directly.
For your reference, this page also lists important account metadata, including your unique User ID, the date your account was created, and your last login timestamp.
Password Management
Security is paramount. Use this section to update your account password. If you originally signed up using a third-party provider (like Google or Microsoft) but want to add a direct login method, you can set a password here. This gives you the flexibility to sign in with either your social account or your email and password.
Authentication Providers
Streamline your login process by connecting your account to third-party identity providers. This enables Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing you to access Alkimi with a single click using your existing Google, Microsoft, or Apple credentials. You can connect multiple providers for backup access or disconnect them at any time to revoke SSO privileges.
Danger Zone
Located at the bottom of the profile page, the Danger Zone allows you to take critical actions regarding your account status. You can Deactivate your account, which will immediately disable your access and log you out of all active sessions. Note that for a complete and permanent deletion of all your personal data, you will need to contact our support team.
My Organizations
Collaboration is at the heart of Alkimi. The "My Organizations" page gives you a unified view of every workspace you belong to. From here, you can:
My Organizations
Create Organization
Your Organizations
- Switch Contexts: Instantly toggle between different organizations if you are part of multiple teams.
- Create New Workspaces: Launch a new organization for a separate project or team.
- Manage Membership: Leave organizations you no longer need to be a part of.
My Shares
Sharing knowledge is powerful, but maintaining control is essential. The My Shares page lists every conversation link you have generated. It provides a centralized audit log where you can:

- Review: See the title, creation date, and scope (e.g., "External" or "Organization") of each share link.
- Copy: Quickly grab the link to reshare it.
- Revoke: Permanently delete a share link, instantly cutting off access to that conversation snapshot for anyone who had the URL. You can delete links individually or use the "Delete All" button for a bulk reset.
Preferences
Customize the chat interface to match your workflow. The Preferences section focuses on layout options to make your interaction with agents more efficient.
Suggestion Display
Agents often provide suggested follow-up questions to guide your research. You can control how these suggestions appear in your chat window:
- Vertical: Lists suggestions in a column. Good for reading full questions.
- Horizontal: Displays suggestions in a row. Saves vertical space.
- Flex (Top Down/Bottom Up): Adapts the layout based on available space, filling from the top or bottom.
Vertical
Suggestions are stacked in a single column.
Horizontal
Suggestions are displayed in a single row.
Flex (Top Down)
Suggestions wrap from top to bottom.
Flex (Bottom Up)
Suggestions wrap from bottom to top.
Accessibility
We believe AI tools should be accessible to everyone. The Accessibility page offers robust settings to adjust the visual presentation of the app for better readability and comfort.
UI Scale
Adjust interface size (Device Specific)
High Contrast
Boost visual distinction
Color Vision
Assist with deficiencies
Dyslexic-Friendly Font
OpenDyslexic typeface
Visual Preferences
- UI Scale: A slider that lets you adjust the overall size of the interface from 75% to 150%. This is a device-specific setting, meaning it is saved locally to your current browser. This allows you to have different scaling preferences for your laptop versus your desktop monitor.
Color Preferences
These settings help users with visual impairments or those who simply prefer high-contrast interfaces. Unlike UI Scale, these settings sync across all your devices.
- High Contrast: Boosts the distinction between elements.
- Increased: Raises contrast ratios for better legibility.
- Maximum: Applies a strict high-contrast theme.
- Color Vision: Provides tools for color vision deficiencies.
- Compensate: Adjusts the color palette to make indistinguishable colors distinct.
- Simulate: helpful for testing, this mode simulates how the interface looks to users with different types of color blindness.
- Dyslexic-Friendly Font: A toggle to enable the OpenDyslexic font, specifically designed to improve readability for users with dyslexia.
Support
We are here to help. The Support page provides a direct line to our team.
- Direct Request Form: Submit a support ticket without leaving the app. The form automatically pre-fills your name and email address, so you can focus on describing your issue.
- Context Aware: When you submit a request, we receive details about your account (like your User ID) to help us troubleshoot faster.
